What are the most common issues that will cause a pool to be non-compliant?
1. Gate closure from a position very near the latch. The gate shall be fitted with a self closing device that will close the gate from any position with a stationery start, without the application of a manual force and operate the latch” (AS1926.1 2012 Section 2.4.1.2ii).
2. Climbable vegetation within 900mm of the pool barrier.
3. Objects or level changes in the zone within 500mm of barrier that would reduce the effective height of the barrier.
